About The Project
The Real City Makoti is a 13-part reality TV show that sees five women navigate marriage, motherhood, friendships, in- laws, careers, both in the city and in the village. The show unpacks how these wives transition and adapt as they move from the high life of their urban world to life in their hometown, where they play the role of the traditional makoti. Moving between the two worlds is a balancing act between traditional and cultural values and their own modern aspirations and influences.
